WMS AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

February 8 – April 23, 2021
(garden club will begin the week of march 29)

Cost is $30 per student, per club

Clubs will meet on zoom unless otherwise noted

DRUMLINE CLUB

Monday/Friday 
3:05PM-4:15pm
Host: Mr. Thew

Drumline is all about learning how to play in a drumline! This class focuses on building skills to form a drumline. Experience in performing arts is recommended, but not required. Some skills learned are fundamental rhythmic reading, proper stick grip, how to strike, roll, and accent notes. This will be an in-person club that will meet at WMS in the band room or auditorium. We hope to see at Drumline Club!

RUNNING CLUB
TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY 7:30AM-8:15AM
Hosts: Mr. McDermott & Mr. Allegro

Get a good workout as we run and do whacky exercises before school! Mr. McDermott and Mr. Allegro will help keep you engaged in body-friendly, socially distanced workouts. We will try to use outside as our playground (Moxley Field), but are able to come inside if too cold. Pick the day your cohort is here and join!

SPANISH CLUB
MONDAYS 3:05PM-4:05PM
Host: Sra. Cachimuel

Vamos a jugar Kahoot and Gimkit and Quizzizz. We will also make and create original games using Connect 4 and other popular games as formats. Vamos a jugar! Come play!

GARDEN CLUB
STARTING ON MARCH 29TH 
Host: Mr. Duffy

Do you like to get your hands dirty and watch things grow? Join Mr. Duffy in the courtyard for Garden Club. STARTING ON MARCH 29th we will start meeting and rebuilding garden boxes, learning about the importance of plants native to Massachusetts, and of course, placing and caring for all sorts of PLANTS! Make sure you bring clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty!
